All I want for christmas....

If you're as in love with fashion and travel as I am, chances are you've got a trip and a shopping spree scheduled for December.

If you do not... I have. I'm thinking Europe.. Paris, Berlin, Milan, London and if I've got any spare change left : Rome ( I sooo want to see the vatican!) Please do by all means consider this me rubbing it in your face and just to show I'm only two-thirds show off , you get to live off my travel.

Yeah, I know it'll be dead of winter and there are promises of it being a white christmas but snow can't tie fun down can it?

It's early yet but I'm the planning type so I'm trying to create a budget according to needs, wants and more wants. It's a holiday: I'm meant to pack on the pounds and return home broke.

I plan to update as much as I possibly can, it's a family trip so family maybe doing exactly what family does.... can't put it on here: they may decide not to put anything beneath the tree for me... so shhh!

Barely There....

The message from the runway through New York and London Fashion week has been “less is more”. The minimalist trend is taking over!
A far cry from the stern lines of the military/utility trend that reigned supreme in fashion weeks past; fashionistas the world over will be happy to see silk, chiffon in billowy, relaxed designs.
In my corner of the world I’m over-feeling (yes, Over-Feeling (for emphasis)  the whole laid-back chic thing. It’s hot most days of the year with 30-something degree (centigrade) temperatures. We’ve been lucky: lucky because global warming means we get unending rain and temperature drops to a cool 20-something degrees**. Which means we get to wear knits, jellies, neutral tones, and leather... you’ve got to live here to understand my excitement.

Anyways... NYFW, LFW thank you for the soft lines and the SS11 tips!

**(it may not seem like much, apply it to your age... big difference huh?!)

Life in the back seat...

So Vogue's Fashion's night out, New York and London Fashion week.

If you know your fashion onions, September is on every fashionistas style calendar. I to (my disappointment) am missing out on the whole shabang! I've been blog and tweet surfing for any kind of update on what's going to be hot in SS'11. I refused to be told: I'd much rather read it for myself thank-you (it'll suck less).

As physically ill as being unable to attend ANYTHING makes me, I console myself with the fact that I was able to accidentally bump into the Carnaby Catwalk a showcase of clothes and accessories stocked by the brands we love on one of London's most fashionable streets.

I know I know... but something is better than nothing, right?

Trend watching...

Since forever I've been a great admirer of all things pretty and in my world that's not a lot, so having the opportunity to lay eyes on a thing that appeals to my inner divanista (made up word that describes a diva and fashionista) has to be the stuff of nectar of the gods.

Glossing over fashion magazines visiting some highly recommended fashion blogs has gotten me so excited bout September which is THE fashion month of the entire year.

With Fashions night out, the minimalist trend, the love for camel hues, the return of the classic trouser, the lady-like-lady and my personal favourite: the IT bag... 2010 is going out with a bang.
